From that ten-cent phone call and a cup of coffee to AA's General Service Office. What's your take on service?

Thanks to both Puppy & Duke for their dedication to the service of suffering alcoholics, both in and out of these rooms.

It's been awhile, so can we have an update with a list of the names of those serving as moderators, and also those old timers who act in positions of 'overseeing' or 'continued assistance,' on the forums.

Thanks.

Did as suggested same day, no luck, bumping this topic so it stays 'fresh'. Sometimes people have suggestions or issues they wish to present before the moderation team, if we can't see who they are it cocks things up.

It sucks, not one suggestion implemented in umpteen years. If we can't get someone to update the servants list, we can't hold out much hope for suggestions being implemented.

But since better can not be done, I will probably put it there and hope for the best. The main hope being that some of the old timers who oversee what's happening, might see the validity in the suggestion, otherwise it will be swept under the carpet with the rest.

I do not mean to ill speak the members who do service work here, I respect their efforts. Finding able servants is a continuous exercise, Bill Wilson said this near the start of Concept 9 -
With leadership we shall have a continuous problem. Good leadership can be here today and gone tomorrow. Furnishing our service structure with able and willing workers has to be a continuous activity. It is therefore a problem that in its very nature cannot be permanently solved. We must continuously find the right people for our many service tasks.
If a particular project requires attention, and somebody outside of the current service structure is capable and willing to do it, there is no reason the job can't be farmed out to them. Redoing the start here guidelines might be one such project.

Brock,

The servants list is readily available to you. At the bottom right corner of the page is a link entitled "the team". http://www.e-aa.org/forum/memberlist.php?mode=leaders

As Paige said. "we do what we can".

On a side note there is an opening for an elected trusted servant that you might be interested in Brock. The position of E-AA's forums coordinator is up for election in the business/group conscience meeting during the next couple months. Throw your hat into the ring. You might be great at the service. The service begins on 9/1/2017 when I step down.

regards,
