I am seeking a 24/7 AA, text only chat with an AA group structure. Something that's akin to the e-AA Chat-Community, Dennis Morgan era.
Speaking of, I owe that chat and it's members a great thinks. It had an invaluable input that put me on the path I now enjoy. The list is too long. They will know my thanks by my signature.
Thanks,
Quark

Re: Seeking and Thanks
Hi Ed/Quark. Such a wonderful treat to have old friends stop by and post!!! Delighted to have you here!
e-AA no longer has a chat room. But it sure was glorious when it was here!! I don't know where there is a chatroom, but if you find it please let me know too.
Ann's here too.
It took a while for me to get used to the forums, but I think I have the hang of it now. Stick around here and see what you think.
hugs,
Betsy

Hi Ed! I’m really not sure anything like what we had before exists anywhere anymore. Everything gets destroyed by trolls both inside and outside the group. Personally I get onto conspiracy theories such as destroying online connectiveness is an attack against liberal democracy
and I’m often reminded of the Tower of Babel ...?

dennis is often in my thoughts, as are you & Betsy! I’ll never forget the support, comfort and knowledge shared that guided me out of my lonely confusion.

Re: Seeking and Thanks
Speaking of the Tower of Babel... I had an intuitive thought that all they needed was to Trust in god and ask him to be interpreter of their words.I’m often reminded of the Tower of Babel
Still today, we cannot be assured that our words and intent will be completely understood by another person. Each of us has a very unique set of experiences that shape our understand of words - and of everything. When in a panic (and seeking), as I imagine they must have been at Babel, I forget to ask for help.
That being said, I do NOT know how the Tower of Babel story ends! Can someone enlighten me?

Re: Seeking and Thanks
Genesis 11
New International Version
The Tower of Babel
11 Now the whole world had one language(A) and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar(B) and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks(C) and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone,(D) and tar(E) for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens,(F) so that we may make a name(G) for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered(H) over the face of the whole earth.”(I)
5 But the Lord came down(J) to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language(K) they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us(L) go down(M) and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”(N)
8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth,(O) and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel[c](P)—because there the Lord confused the language(Q) of the whole world.(R) From there the Lord scattered(S) them over the face of the whole earth.

You can still search for "dennis" under authors, using an advanced search. All of his posts will come up.

So that is it? I knew this much, but these people who are scattered are never really mentioned again? Ok - the Bible is full of mystery I guess.
