The AA way, the path of happy destiny.

Post by clouds »

I'm reflecting back today, 45 years ago, to my first AA meeting. No words can describe my gratitude for the way the AA program of recovery is laid out in the book Alcoholics Anonymous and for the help I was given by AA members. I'm a little awed when I think about the ability I had to accept and follow the message of hope, the steps, to get to meetings and do whatever it took to stay sober to the best of my ability. I got that from being aware of the unmanageablility of my life at that time and my understanding of my own personal powerlessness over alcohol.

Although I have not had a perfect life, by any one's standards, since beginning the path 45 years ago, I have been sober from alcohol and drugs through it all. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that turning to the 12 steps and the mottos in our slogans in every situation, these will carry us through.

I wish every one of you many more years of happy sobriety.

Very Happy Birthday! And Many More.

That word "OF' in "the road of happy destiny" Look around us, The "Now" is the "Road", the "Now" is the "Happy"

So Grateful, for the Program, and the Fellowship who Carries it's Message.

That is a lot of one day at a times.

Long term sobriety: From hopelessness to HOPEFULNESS and full of HOPE.

Keep spreading the hope clouds.
