More Unity, less Conflict

Got an issue with someone or something? Want to whine a little? Here's the place to do it, or to get to know folks, or ask those questions that don't fit anywhere else.

Thanks for the topic.

I don't know how prevalent the arguing is yet. I recently (in the past 2 weeks) returned to this board. The last topic I read started off well but devolved into an argument between two members that was really off topic about page 3 or 4 and ultimately closed the topic. This was annoying to me for a couple of reasons.
1. I was really interested in the topic and would have liked to hear more comments about it.
2. I might have liked to post on the topic but the topic was closed when it reached page 5.

Regarding newcomers seeing our disfunction, which occurs in F2F meetings as well in my experience; I don't think it bothers them that much. We want to set a good example but I don't remember hanging around healthy people until I sobered up. Even after I was sober it took me a while to discern healthy people in AA from unhealthy people. I trust the AA program and my higher power to take care of them.

Maybe use the preview button to read your posts before you hit submit, that's my plan.
