Re: Questions from a beginner

hi TeresaW thoses fears you have about going to your first meeting are normal it would be the same thing like starting a new job or anything we do in life that is something we know nothing about, the danger is we listen to those fears and then talk ourself out of going or doing what ever it is we do...

Re: AA and other drugs

Sorry if I stepped on toes, was just supporting a person who realized "half measures availed us nothing, we stood at a turning point". To me this person is willing to do anything to stay sober. My message is in conjunction with this, and working the program and the steps, this person will become sob...

Re: AA and other drugs

People don't really really think deeply about this. Reliance on a Higher Power is the AA foundation . I was sober in AA for many years before this reality sunk in. It is not calling your sponser or going to a meeting. It is the connection to a Higher Power. Very well said, I highlighted a sentence ...

Re: Urgent Issue!!!

it smacks of pure gossip to me and that is a no no in my book your friend says something to you and now you want to pass on what your friend said can you see where this sort of thing leads ? the person may not have stole any money maybe your friend was told by someone ? can you imagine if the person...

Re: hi and help

Thanks desypete anyway i decided after the 15 years to just try drinking again This is what I wonder about and why I go to meetings. I have 29 years and I don't remember all that much how it feels to be drunk. When would curiosity cause me to try it and begin a cycle that eventually ends up drunk a...

Re: Diego just had his last drink

step 3 is simple make a decision to give up the old way of life and learn a new way of life then move on to 4 dont lose a day over step 3 as its only when you will have done them all and are able to look back at step 3 that it will make much more sense to you than it does right now. i thought step 3...
