Re: Feeling Trapped in Recovery

That gratitude is not some magical permanent state for me, however. Sometimes I do get genuinely overwhelmed by restlessness, irritability, and discontentment Ha! Thats why sponsors tell people to make gratitude lists. Yes, think of gratitude as a skill in your mind which you can employ to feel bet...

Re: What's the point of doing a 90 And 90?

over the years i have come to see that it all depends on how damaged you are when you come into aa some come into aa with hardly any damage at all other than the fact they drink to much, and suffer from the mental twist side, others come into aa and have nothing left for those who come to the fellow...

Re: Romantic relationships

I left a relationship with an alcoholic and not so long after got into another relationship. I've been in recovery for a year and a half and we're now living together and I've started AA just a couple weeks ago. It's weird now. I'm not the same person and he doesn't seem like the person I thought h...

Re: A Firey Message

If meetings are available, going as often as we can until the steps are completed is ...

Re: First Share

well done on having your first share in aa its certainly not easy to speak up for the first time, that first time is the hardest, just try it again and take notice of how you feel after it, in my early meetings i would share my heart out as i knew or came to see it helped me get by i might go into a...
