Re: Where does "willingness" begin

Fenix, You have got it wrong...what you percieve to be my insult is not personal...you seem to spend a lot of time musing over distinctions so muse over that or do you feel an attack on YOUR long held beliefs? Lighten up...i would suggest you worry less about other peoples blind obedience if that's ...

Re: Where does "willingness" begin

There is an episode of friends where, not sure which one it was, lets say Rachel, exasperated after a date says to her friend Monica from now on, with regards to dating you have to make all my decisions because i cannot be trusted . Soo funny and i so identify. Fenix - regarding newcomers having the...

Re: A tragic, cautionary, true story

Kenyal, i agree mostly but at the same time how the guy postured - that's the killer EGO. Posturing is a big deal. Am i really the only one who cant stand big posturers? What's the difference between posturing and ego? I guess to speak plainly...i dont agree. I sometimes laugh out loud when people i...

Re: A tragic, cautionary, true story

It just takes a very spiritually well person to be kind to a towering ego...is my feeling. Its hard not to feel warmth and kindness and love for someone who is broken.

Re: A tragic, cautionary, true story

Layla, your share really helped me and has given me alot to think about. All about responsibility, honesty , personal truth and the limits of each. I see aa online as an opportunity to be more honest than at face to face meetings. Sometimes i dont know where the line is until i have crossed it. Some...

Re: Never mind!

Thank you Ann for the wise words by way of a quote....perhaps it is a cultural thing but i was helped with my handicap by people pointing it out and not treating me like i was a piece of cotton wool. Just as many people drink again from the latter treatment i believe as from PERCIEVED harsh words. "...

Re: Step 11 says to Pray” only for God’s Will for us and the

But to add to my previous post, not too long ago i was plagued by a resentment towards someone. One night it was really bothering me so i got down on my knees and prayed for God to give to them everything i want for myself. The very next morning, checking my emails, i got a generic one from the very...
