My "problem" is that I'm a confirmed hard agnostic/atheist. I've been using the members of AA as my "higher power" and it has worked so far."
Sounds like you're doing it right. It's God "as you understand Him", not anyone else. Still plugging along?

I can't say I've done what you've described but have been on the receiving end of it. I like how someone referenced your "mind-reading" abilities.... Like Mike D said,walk up to someone, introduce yourself and tell them that you're sober a week. You'll have more people to talk to then you know what to do with! Or you can do what I did.... follow your sponsor around like a puppy/little kid. If they know what to do they'll introduce you to people! :D
