Re: My wife's anger and disgust - 2 weeks sober

I'm sorry you're in this situation, keep your focus on staying sober. The best way to prove that you're serious about being sober, is by being sober. That's great if your wife gets involved in Alanon, it will probably help her a lot.

Re: 4th Step... Guilt... Self-Forgiveness?

I know what you mean, I heard someone say once that if you feel bad/guilty, that's good, because it means you have a conscience. Eventually the feeling will pass but hopefully you will learn from your mistakes and become a better person.

Re: I'm Scared to Attend AA for the first time... should I b

It is completely normal to be scared to go to AA for the first time, I was terrified and cried through most of my first meeting. Try to go to a meeting or two. You don't have to say anything, you can choose to just listen if you want. You don't have to trust anyone with your personal issues until yo...

Re: slowing drinkign but problems

You may find that going to some AA meetings and hearing more about alcoholism can help you too. In the meantime, you can read the book Alcoholics Anonymous online for free. Simply google "Alcoholics Anonymous Fourth Edition". The Doctor's Opinion is a good place to start. It explains alcoholism ver...

New to forum

I have been going to AA meetings for 5 years but I'm new to these forums. I wanted to introduce myself. I hope these forums will be a helpful addition to my recovery. I look forward to getting to know everyone!
