Re: Continue to watch for ...

this is one step that not enough is written of in the bb- Continue to watch for selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear. When these crop up, we ask God at once to remove them. We discuss them with someone immediately and make amends quickly if we have harmed anyone. Then we resolutely turn our...

3 questions

1, What is Perfection?
2, How does one know when they get there?
3, What does one do when they get there?

Of Myself, I am nothing. Thy will, not Mine be done.
2 year old question but:
1- finished;complete
2- they die
3-thank God

Re: Sponsor facing difficult times

if allagations arent true then whats the problem? theyre just allagations.

whats the right thing to do- he told you with," he is taking some time out & suggested to me that I should look for another Sponsor."

these are situations that the steps are for.
start at step one on just this.

Re: "Recovered"

It may be a lifetime program for living, but it certainly is not a constant battle like the word recovering implies, therefore saying recovered would be far more encouraging to newcomers. good point there. i wonder how many newcomers get apprehensive from hearing "recovering" from someone with mult...

Re: First step experiences

Re: BB/Pg. 62 -- "That, we think, is the root of our troubles."

Selfishness—self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred forms of fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, and self-pity , we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate. Sometimes they hurt us, seemingly without provocation, but we invariably find that at some...

Not sure if there is a right or wrong answer. i believe this also. i dont think there was any way i could say i was insane before accepting alcohol kiked my arse. i couldnt see the insanity with a clouded mind. step 2 mentions a power greater than me that could restore me...

Maybe there is confusion between Bill doing the steps vs helping others do the steps; and your friend thinks that helping others counted a doing the steps.
or maybe confusing practicing steps 10-12 daily as going through the steps.
