1. Acting Group Secretary's Report, Sally

The month of June saw the beginning of our elections for the next year's Trusted Servants. We elected Meredith as our grapevine chair, Sally as secretary and Jenny as alternate secretary.

All of our committees are running well -- and our chat rooms are very busy. i thank all of you who put so much time and commitment into the chatrooms- it is not easy.

2. Treasurer's Report, Ketra

Hi, everyone. This month 5 members contributed financially to our operations' expenses. We continue to hover about 10% below our prudent reserve. Our current balance is $455.95.

With my writing a check for our Chat service provider of $180, that brings our current balance to $275.95. I have not yet received the June literature expenses.

We are failing at self-support. We can fix that.

3. Online Intergroup Representative's Report, Susan

Please see the monthly report from the OIAA Chair, below. I've included her comments on attending the International Convention in San Antonio, because it adds some insight into the Online Intergroup and how huge and awesome our fellowship is ! Thank you for allowing me to serve.

CHAIR'S REPORT July 1, 2010

June Reports were submitted and questions answered by the following: OIAA Historian, OIAA Listkeeper, OIAA Secretary, OIAA Treasurer, OIAA alt.Chair, OIAA Chair, 12th Step Committee, Cooperation With the Professional Community Committee, Unity Committee, Policy & Admissions Committee, Public Information Committee, Web Committee, Convention Committee, Ad-Hoc Sponsor Committee, Ad-Hoc Welcome Committee.

In June the Assembly had three listed Topic Discussions: Tradition 6, Concept VI and one topic discussions for June. Thank you to Maggie and Chris H.. who were lead shares on the Concept IV and Tradition 4, respectively. All posts and summaries of above topics are available in the business email list archives.

I'm writing this report early as I leave for San Antonio in the wee hours, Tuesday morning. As I live in England, this is not a quick trek to an AA conference. For me, it's nice to get away a bit from the daily routine and not be on call for my family and have some "me" time with my fellow AA's.
This will be my fourth International and I'm looking forward to meeting many of you who will be there. I so enjoy what the International has to offer and will get choked up on Friday night, viewing the Opening Flag Ceremony. One thing I have always experienced at the International, is the friendly, open way everyone acts and I've never heard a cross word.

The Convention Committee has worked hard to get the cyber suite ready for all to see and understand who and what OIAA is and stands for. Well done Convention Committee! As I have never been to San Antonio before, this California girl (I use the term loosely) is so looking forward to the warmth and big Texan hugs.
Thank you Don M. for standing in my stead while away and I'll be thinking of you all. Thank you for allowing me to serve, ~Jan BB, OIAA Chair

All of us continue looking in E-AA's various venues for stories to add to E-AA's "Our Stories" page. http://e-aa.org/group_stories.php This page has a tremendous collection of experience, strength, and hope for all of us; old timer and newcomer alike. Thanks to everyone who continues to seek out stories.

7. Forum Coordinator's Report, Juanita

Discussion forum participation is continuing to stay steady with a consistent focus on helping the newcomers who join regularly. There is no new business to report from within the forums committee nor reportable incident.

8. Real Time Coordinator's Report - Scott

Many new people in chat room and more new ones each day!

May log-ins
Fellowship/Meeting Room-8865 log-ins with some repeat users
New to Recovery Room-907 log-ins with some repeat users

June log ins
Fellowship/Meeting Room-7089 with repeat log ins
New to Recovery Room-347 log ins

Monitors Report- Jenny, Buster, Don, Dan, Brenda, Mags, Thane, Todd, Walt, Dean, Walt, Pat, Dawn

Pat has agreed to return as monitor and Dawn has also agreed to monitor. Welcome to both!

The month was fairly uneventful other then the same games played by Phill/ChristopherO. They continue to keep registering with different names and disrupting the room. Most chatters are tired of it and report the abuse which makes our job easier. We continue to handle the problem as it occurs.

Also removed Roguenurse under many different names for sexual banter in both open and private chats. He was asked about this and agreed not to do it, yet continued. Removed.

KenBarclay was also removed for posting of outside issues pertaining to his websites and business, and also lewd conduct towards a women. He was contacted and asked about this and refused to comment. Second attempt failed as he would close the Private window upon trying.

Foreman450honda also removed for bothering women and continually passing his phone number out. This occured to mostly new comer women to the room. His excuse was he was only helping but being only new women we asked he refrain. He refused. Many times in private he would find it was a man and suddenly had no urge to help.

Log reading has been very uneventful and quiet. Recovery chat prevalent throughout all logs most times. This is good to see and explains the lack of use of the new room. It has not been needed. This is a great thing.

Chatcom Report- Niki removed from chatcom. Foreman450 honda removed self from chatcom. Pretty quiet this month in chatcom other then business as usual

New registration has been a huge help although we have had a few glitches with people not understanding the new system. But other then that it has been a huge help in the safety of the room.

Addition of meeting announcements 5 minutes before meeting starts added to room for all meetings. People like this and we continue with it.

Addition of scheduled discussion topics, Daily Reflections, As Bill Sees It, and other readings added to the new to recovery room. A link has been provided in announcements on front page with the schedule of times announcements occur. This did not seem well taken and due to the time it took I discontinued it.

CC's comments: Chatroom continues to show vast improvement. Chatters stepping up to help newies, and assist in meetings when needed. Decorum guidelines being met aside from a few various instances which will happen now and then.

A new Sunday Living Sober meeting was introduced and will begin the Sunday after the Independence day holiday. I am hoping to add a couple more in areas we lack and also would like to introduce a couple meetings during International times. In discussion now.

Independence Day alcathon being scheduled as of this writing. Bob and lain have stepped up to help.

Thanks to all in Chat Committee and all chatters for the continued support!
