1.Secretary's Report
Aloha Chris Alcoholic and Secretary for the e-AA Business Meeting.
Slow month again.
However, there were three changes that occurred.
One, Bobbie F apparently resigned as Grapevine Chair and Cindy, Alternate Grapevine Chair stepped up to serve as the new Chair of the Grapevine. Thanks for both of your service to e-AA, Bobbie F for your service and Cindy for being willing to serve for the remainder of the term.
Second item was that by the end of March there was no one that (formally) stood for the Alternate Treasurer position so that means Ketra is the only one serving as Treasurer for e-AA..
And last but not least, Sr. Clair vacated her position as Alternate Secretary and Russell stepped up to the plate.. Mahalos (Thanks) for your service Sr. Clair and Russell for volunteering as Alt Sec.
In Love and Service
Chris
2. Treasuers Report
Hi all.....
We've attached the March Treasurers'spreadsheet with detailed information but here's a quick summary:
March opening balance: $1,002.05
Member contributions: $245.40
Expenses: ($236.00)
Ending balance: $1,011.45
The group remains below our prudent reserve of $1200.00.
Barbara is rotating out of her service as our Co-Treasurer. The discussion for her replacement on the Members list has taken a break while the members determine if a co-treasurer or a treasurer with appropriate signatories/access to the accounts sits with the group secretary.
A 7th tradition contribution is one of many ways to participate here at e-aa. Details follow. Another great way to give back is by volunteering for a service position.
To make a seventh tradition contribution using Paypal, an online secure method to fund our work using a credit card, please begin at the e-AA webpage here: http://www.e-aa.org/group_seventh.php.
Or mail a check to the group's current post office box address.
Make your check payable to the E-AA Group and mail to:

4. Discussion Forums Report
Members,
The forums have seen a spike in membership during the month of March with approximately 65 new people joining. Activity on the forum has also increased substantially with nearly 1000 posts in a period of about two weeks.
For comparison purposes a similar reading was taken in the first part November of 2008 and during the same time frame the forums had almost 300 posts. This means the moderators have had their hands exceptionally full.
Within the last couple of months we have added a couple of new mods and rotated out those who had served the forums for extended periods. We could still use another moderator or two. Things are currently running just fine with the focus being placed on the newcomers.
Yours in service,
Juanita P.

BIG BOOK PROJECT
Thanks to your Seventh Tradition Contributions the Literature Committee was able to spread the message by sending Big Books to the following people in March of 2009.
3/8 Scott D. from Ohio
3/17 Marta L. from Massachusetts
3/23 Sarah B. from Louisiana
3/23 Jeanie C. from New York
3/29 Pam K. from Tennessee
3/29 Pauline B. from Canada
Upon the retirement of Co-Treasurer Barbara (a/k/a BAM) and after much discussion within the Literature Committee, the function of ordering Big Books to fulfill requests from newcomers has shifted from our Treasurer/Co-Treasurer to the Literature Committee. Consequently, we are thrilled to welcome our new Big Book Coordinator!!! Welcome, Felice, to this most important and vital position in our outreach effort.
Barbara, thank you for your many, many years of loyal service. Felice - we welcome you and are so thankful for your willingness to serve in this most important project. .
IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE NEW TO E-AA WHO IS IN NEED OF A BIG BOOK, please let us know!!
OUR STORIES
We have another new member of the Literature Committee, Shana, who will be assisting us in the solicitation, editing and posting of "Our Stories". Thank you for your service, Shana, and Welcome!!
The "Our Stories" forum has been an active and ongoing project for us and we have been posting at least one story a month.
In March, we posted Maggie Gail's Story. Thank you, Maggie Gail for you service.
REQUESTS FOR SUBMISSIONS: The Literature Committee is actively seeking people who are willing to tell their story. Time and again, we hear that new members are joining us because they read something on "Our Stories". Often, they are too afraid or shy to log into the chatroom and they continue to come back and read "Our Stories" until they work up some courage. We particularly would like some stories from men.
Please consider telling your story. This is a great way to be of service to your group.
Thank you for allowing us to serve.
Trish2 and the Literature Committee
10. Intergroup Report
Greetings-
We had a very active, lively month on OIAA.
We discussed, voted on and passed our 2009 budget.
We discussed attendance court papers being signed in meetings
and had an in depth discussion about the 2010 International
Convention and what OIAA plans to do with the funds that have been allotted for that convention.
This conversation was tabled because we won't have any
facts for the convention until early 2010.
We also touched on copywrite laws and how the OIAA reps report back to their groups. We finished the month with the beginnings of discussions about the concepts of AA.
Because our membership is international - we always have
a variety of opinions on all our topics because not every group in
the world conducts AA business in the same manner.
I encourage anyone who is interested in the business of AA to join OIAA as an observer.
Respectfully,
SallyB
