1.Secretary's Report

Chris Alcoholic, currently serving as the e-AA Business Meeting Secretary
Here is the February Secretary's Report as follows. Please feel free to make any corrections.

On February 10th Tyler rotated out of the two year position she held as Web Chair, She will be leaving at the end of March.

Tyler wrote in part: The"webteam chair" duty that I do on a regular basis is the monthly webteam report.. I have just posted the January report to the members business meeting. Since I will no longer be interfacing with the members business list, someone else will need to do the report for February in early March. All that is required is ftp access to both servers. I will send whoever is doing this the spreadsheets that I have been using. The committee chair's job is more one of coordination and reporting than actually doing webmastering .
Thank you so much Tyler for all your service work at e-AA.

As Secretary I was informed that it is customary that Web Team Chair is elected by the members of the Web Team. If anyone who's interested is welcome to sub to the web team and seek their approval to be appointed. There has been no word, as of late, from the Web Team as of a new Committee Chair

On 02/22/09 Barbara/Bam wrote ....After much consideration and consulting with my sponsor,
It has become clear I need to step down as your co-treasurer. I've held this position since September 2003 and it's time to rotate out and give someone else the opportunity to serve.

I will continue my duties with Ketra until the end of March to give you all time to elect a new co-treasurer. After that, I'll be close to answer any questions that come up.

Thank you for allowing me to be of service to this group. I've learned a great deal
and have enjoyed the experience very much.

Again thank you Barbara for your service, as the co treasurer for the past 5 years, at
e-AA.

There has been one nomination from the floor for the co-treasurer position, and that is Ian. I have not heard if Ian has accepted the nomination? If not then Ketra will continue to serve in the position of Treasurer.

Lastly, Trish2 requested that that the Member Directory be take off of the Web Site, and wrote:

I would like to make a motion to remove "Member Directory Coordinator" from the e-AA Group's list of elected positions. Best I can figure, this position was created early on - when the internet wasn't such a dangerous place. It was used, I guess, as a way for us e-AA'ers to get to know each other. Based on questions I have asked and the responses I have received, our "people" don't want their pictures or information posted here any longer, especially since the rise of "Facebook" and other social sites. There simply isn't any interest.

And thanks, to you Trish2, for all your dedicated service to e-AA.

As a result a vote was taken and as of 2/26/09 eleven people were in favor for removal. No one else voted and the ten days passed. So the removal of said Members Directory be taken off the e-AA site as soon as possible.

In Love and Service
Chris

2. Treasuers Report

Hi all.....

We've attached the February Treasurers 'spreadsheet with
detailed information but here's a quick summary:

February opening balance: $1,044,52
Member contributions: $200.5
Expenses: ($242.99)
Ending balance: $1,002.05

We are below our prudent reserve of $1200.00.

Barbara will be rotating out of her service as our Co-Treasurer at the end of March. Shortly, discussion on the Members list will turn to her replacement. Ketra could sure use the help! :-)

A 7th tradition contribution is one way to participate .Details follow. Another great way to give back is by
volunteering for a service position.

To make a seventh tradition contribution using Paypal, an online secure method to fund our work using a credit card, please begin at the e-AA webpage here: http://www.e-aa.org/group_seventh.php.

Or mail a check to the group's current post office box address Make your check payable to the E-AA Group
and mail to:

6. 12th Step Committee Report

Hey folks!

February was another busy month over on the 12th step list. We continue to reply to a steady stream of help requests and usually within a few hours of when the request was sent. Most requests are getting more than one response.

We still do need more volunteers though, so please sign up. It's really simple and flexible 12th step work and most importantly, it makes a difference. There are a number of folks that have come through
our 12th step list on towards lasting sobriety.

To sign up, please contact our listkeeper and asked to be subscribed to the 12th step mailing list (ehn2008@e-aa.org).

Have a wonderful day!
Alex

Greetings from the Literature Committee. The following is our report for February of 2009

Big Book Project
We are glad to report that the following Big Books have been sent in February of 2009 to newcomers to our email meetings, our chat room, chat room meetings and the Women's Sober Lounge participants:

2/2 Amy T. from Pennsylvania
2/2 Maggie C. from Massachusetts
2/8 Heather W. from Utah
2/10 Woshi W. from Oregon
2/20 Angela B. from Texas
2/21 Janice S. from Minnesota

Thank you for your generous donations to the e-AA Group's Seventh Tradition effort - your contributions make it possible for us to reach alcoholics with the Big Book Project.

We are also pleased to announce that Ketra has joined the Literature Committee.

Our Stories
We currently have one story in final editing and two awaiting editing.

We had an inquiry (via Jon) from the Chatroom - with someone who wanted to post his story. The information was provided to the gentleman as to how to forward the story to the Committee - but we haven't seen it, yet.

If you would like to tell your story for posting in the OUR STORIES FORUM .... please do so. Sharing yourself is an awesome way to be of service here at e-AA. Please let us hear from you.

Respectfully submitted,
Trish2 and the Literature Committee

If anyone is interested in joining OIAA- all AA members are welcome as observers- you can participate in all discussions and serve on all committees.
