2. Treasuers Report

Hi Everyone!

We've attached the January Treasurers' spreadsheet but here's the overall numbers:

January opening balance: $1,194.06
Member contributions: $136.46
Expenses: ($236.00)
Adjustment for December ($50.00)
Ending balance: $1,044.52

* (A deposit sent to the bank late December did not get posted to our account. We are in the process of tracking them down)

We are below our prudent reserve of $1200.00.

To make a seventh tradition contribution using Paypal, an online secure method to fund our work using a credit card, please begin at the e-AA webpage here: http://www.e-aa.org/group_seventh.php.

Or mail a check to the group's current post office box address.
Make your check payable to the E-AA Group and mail to:

5. E-mail Meeting Report
NB List

Had a lot of activity with having more new members than ones that left the list.
Ketra is going to use pamphlets for topics in NB. Everyone thinks that it is a good idea. And what has been posted so far shows that members are getting into it.

A lot of people celebrating birthdays. So Jenny has been busy.

12 x 12 List

Karl is doing a wonderful job in getting things running pretty good.
January is Step One and Tradition One, and there have been pretty good shares.

We did have a situation that caused some disturbance dealing with another Tradition instead of Tradition One. But we survived.

Men's and SafetyValue List

They are doing about the same. Seems like the same amount of new members for each, which is pretty good.
Have a good day,
John T. Begin
Email Coordinator

6. 12th Step Committee Report

Hi Folks,

We've been steadily busy on eHelp and our core group of volunteers seems to have gotten smaller since the holidays. If anyone wants to help reply to emails from people looking for help, please subscribe to
the eHelp list - we'd love to have you.

Thanks!
Alex

7. Links Report

Another quiet month, just one new link.
Northeast Ohio Young People in AA: Cleveland, Akron & Surrounding Areas

8. Literature Report

Big Books

January is typically a peak month for those seeking help from AA. We were able to provide Big Books to the following people in January, thanks to your continued support of the e-AA Group Big Book project through your 7th Tradition contributions:

1/3 Jilliane D. from New Hampshire (Women's)
1/3 Michele M. from North Carolina (Women's)
1/4 M.H.L. from Florida (webform-heard from Q&A)
1/7 Gloria B. from Arizona (Women's)
1/19 Jeanne C. from Wisconsin (webform-heard from another e-AA member)
1/23 Angel C. from Illinois (Women's)
1/29 Cherlyn C. from Oklahoma (Women's)

E-AA will send a Big Book (free and anonymously) to newcomers if they do not have one. The Literature Committee would like to encourage you to offer a Big Book to those just joining our way of life.

We also appreciate your discretion when posting our webform link in publiclly viewed places.

Our Stories

In January we posted Alex's celebration of his 4th year of sobriety. Thank you for your service, Alex. We currently have one story in the editing/discussion stage and two awaiting consideration.

If you would like to help a suffering alcoholic by telling your story, please contact the Literature Committee.

Respectfully submitted,
Trish2 on behalf of the Literature Committee

9. Webteam Report

The webteam continues to do the necessary server administration tasks that are vital to maintaining our website, including but not limited to backups, updating third-party software, and database maintenance. We have been doing server administration since first moving to our own server (first value web in May of 2007 and then to ServerBeach in August 2007). In addition, the webteam continues, as we always have done, to provide technical support to the chatroom admins,
listkeeper, individual e-mail problems, and the like.

The webteam as a whole shares the task of necessary server administration. January was relatively quiet month.

Our webteam members represent a wide range of technical abilities from those who are new to things techie and listening and/or learning about things techie TO longtime geeks and techie types. And all stages in between. New members always welcome.

Webtraffic report:

Web statistics for January 2009 for both domains (www.e-aa.org and www.eaachat.org):

Total Visits: 38,082
Total Page Views: 3,008,143

Avg Daily Visits: 1,227
Avg Daily Page Views: 97,006

These statistics include repeat visits to the chat room and the forums.

Respectfully submitted,
Tyler, Webteam Chair

10. Intergroup Report

January 2009 was a busy month on OIAA.
We dealt with moving to a new server, appointing
a Treasurer and our Incorporation AD Hoc Committee
report.

Respectively submitted
